LABIOMEP is hosted by the Faculty of Sports of the University of Porto, where it fully benefits of its research and sports infrastructure.
The laboratory is situated in the research wing of the Faculty of Sports, featuring a research area with a 10 meter gait corridor, high ceilings and safety nets, allowing the performance of many physical and sporting activities.
The laboratory features permanently installed equipment, but it also has additional equipment for field research.
This allows our researchers to closely monitor performance in any context.
In addition to the land-based biomechanics, LABIOMEP performes aquatic research. For that purpose, it has a full complement of waterproof equipment that can transform the Faculty of Sports swimming pool in a state-of-the-art scientific laboratory.
